Privacy Policy for Weekfolio

Last updated: 01 February 2026

Weekfolio respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses, how it is handled, and what choices you have.

The short version: your planner data stays yours.

Overview

Weekfolio is designed to work primarily on your device and within your personal iCloud account. The app does not require you to create an account, and it does not send your planner content to external servers.

Data We Use

Planner Photos

When you take a photo of your planner in Weekfolio:

  • The image is stored in your personal iCloud Drive
  • It is accessible only to you and your iCloud account
  • Weekfolio does not upload planner photos to its own servers

Recognized Text & Metadata

Weekfolio analyzes your planner photos on-device to:

  • recognize text (OCR)
  • organize weeks by date
  • enable search
  • detect possible calendar events

This metadata is stored locally and synced securely using Apple’s iCloud services so it can be available across your devices.

Smart Insights (Apple Intelligence)

On supported devices, Weekfolio may offer optional Smart Insights powered by Apple Intelligence.

  • All analysis is performed on your device
  • No planner content is sent to external AI services
  • No data is used to train models
  • Smart Insights are optional and can be disabled

If your device does not support Apple Intelligence, this feature is simply unavailable. The app continues to work normally.

What We Do Not Collect

Weekfolio does not:

  • require a user account
  • collect names, email addresses, or identifiers
  • track your usage across apps or websites
  • send planner content to third-party servers
  • sell or share your data
  • use your data for advertising or profiling

iCloud Sync

Weekfolio uses Apple’s iCloud services to:

  • store planner images in your iCloud Drive
  • sync metadata (such as dates and indexes) securely across your devices

All iCloud data handling follows Apple’s privacy and security standards.

You can manage or disable iCloud access at any time in your device settings.

Calendar Access

If you choose to add detected events to your calendar:

  • Weekfolio will ask for permission before accessing your calendar
  • Events are only added after your review and confirmation
  • Weekfolio does not read or modify existing calendar events without your consent

Data Control & Deletion

You remain in full control of your data:

  • You can delete planner photos and weeks at any time
  • Deleting a week removes its associated data from the app and iCloud
  • You can disable iCloud sync via system settings

Uninstalling the app stops all processing immediately.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
